Do you think you know the Northeast?

You might know your stotties from your baked steaks; to be able to identify the Angel of the North a mile away in the fog and, unlike half of the UK right now, to be able to pronounce ‘Barnard Castle’ correctly.

But that’s the easy thing.

We’ve combed through the history, sports, and pop culture of the Northeast to create this jaw-dropping quiz, complete with a few questions that should give even the region’s most proud locals pause for thought. We’ve picked out some of the most interesting, unusual, or unlikely facts we could find to make it a real challenge.

Our questions will test your knowledge of the entire region, from Newcastle to Sunderland and Northumberland to Durham. We hope they keep you entertained and maybe teach you something new about this fantastic place we all call home.

Do you think you are up to the challenge? Try our quiz and challenge your friends to see if they can beat your score.
