A model has left viewers stunned after appearing on Good Morning Britain today to debate a controversial claim: Should you give dates an IQ test? Candice Kloss, who made headlines last year after revealing that men find her intelligence “intimidating”, shared the extreme lengths she’s willing to go to find ‘Mr Right’.
She gives potential partners a written IQ test to take on their first date. The OnlyFans model, who has 106,000 Instagram followers (@candicekloss) doesn’t want to “waste her time” with “idiots”.
It doesn’t matter if the chemistry is good, if they don’t pass, “they’re out.” GMB viewers weren’t sure what to think, as many on Twitter criticized the model and some suggested IQ tests aren’t a measure of intelligence at all.
Candice took on BBC’s The Apprentice’s Kayode Damali, who appeared on the show in 2018. “I’d rather be single,” one user wrote, adding a winking emoji.
“Really??? She…I mean SHE wants someone to take a test, REALLY??????,” another user wrote. “I’m going to start dating again at some point. Yes, intelligence is a factor, but for me, I’m looking for someone who has more than that, like common interests, goals and values. All of that needs to be lined up,” a third person wrote.
“So smart but so dumb,” someone else added. “What a waste,” wrote a fifth user.
“What is this garbage?” asked another person. “I want to make sure it’s worth going on a second date with them,” said Candice, who has been a member of Mensa since she was just 17.
“There are a lot of men who are attractive, but if they’re not smart, it takes away their beauty. How can you hang out with someone if you can’t connect through conversation?”
Those who succeed will always have to stay on their A game, as the model expects them to keep up with the news and be able to entertain it with their knowledge of math, finance, and science. She said: “Some people don’t care to keep up with current events, which can be a turnoff.
“It’s appealing if someone picks things up quickly, as well as emotional intelligence and quick thinking. Behavioral economics is my favorite subject, but it’s a lot of fun to hear someone talk about something something he has experience and enthusiasm for.
“Growing up, I was a huge science and math enthusiast and I still love math.”
The college dropout, who dropped out of higher education in 2011 in favor of OnlyFans, is almost considered a “genius” by Mensa standards. According to the IQ scale, a score of 120 to 140 is classified as “very superior intelligence” – while anything above 140 is considered “genius”.
Candice falls just short of the latter, at 136 and is in the top 2% of the population for intelligence. So what IQ number is high enough to date the smart woman?
She said: “They have to be above average on the scale. You don’t have to be a whiz at math, but you have to be able to hold a conversation and be exceptionally smart in at least less than one subject.
“I’m drawn to smart men (books smart but also resourceful) who have a good sense of humor, and who are adventurous, straightforward, and fun.”
Candice, who joined OnlyFans in 2020 and recently graced the cover of the South African edition of Playboy, is often ‘underrated’ by men who assume she’s stupid because of her beauty and her career of mannequin. But she says she doesn’t mind – in fact, she uses it to her advantage.
She previously said: “It’s better to be underestimated in the beginning – I like to prove men wrong.”
