7 questions from Mensa Trump and Tillerson could be asked on an IQ test

High IQ company American Mensa offered to submit its admission test to President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson after Trump bragged to Forbes magazine that he would win a battle of the brains. For the obvious reason to weed out cheaters, Mensa does not reveal his questions ahead of time, but after the dusting off between Trump and Tillerson – which began when Tillerson allegedly called Trump a “moron” – the organization offered an insight what a candidate might be asked for on an admission test.

The test requires not only intelligence, but also mental agility. The roughly 80 questions need to be answered within 30 minutes, according to Charles Brown, communications director for Mensa America. And, if Trump is serious about challenging Tillerson to an IQ showdown, Mensa is offering several tests in the Washington, DC area, as well as across the country, as part of his birthday celebration this month.

Mensa, which describes itself as “an international corporation whose only qualification for membership is a score in the richest 2% of the general population on a standardized intelligence test,” made its offer on Tuesday after Trump had re-examined previous reports that Tillerson had disparaged him by calling him a jerk.

“I think this is fake news,” the president told Forbes magazine, “but if he did that, I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests. And I can tell you who will win. “

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that the president was joking in the Forbes interview. Her remarks were “a joke and nothing more,” she told a press briefing, urging the media to “have a sense of humor and try it one day.”

“The President never suggested that the Secretary of State was not incredibly smart,” Sanders said, adding he had “100% confidence” in Tillerson.
